- Immediatly after high school I thought what job can I think of that would be the best job ever..being quite the cowgirl at the time I decided that I wanted to work as a trail guide on a ranch. I had no previous experience guiding trail rides despite growing up riding horses. After contacting about 100 of the dude ranches I could find an email address for, most never replied, most said that since I didn't have any experience they couldn't hire me, how do I get experience then I was thinking, and 2 gave me an interview. Out of those interviews I got both jobs, and took one that summer, and ended up taking the other the next summer. Had the most amazing summer, seeing more wildlife then ever before. Moose, elk, deer, grizzly bears, black bears, cinnamon bears, grouse, and various other small creatures.
- Katimavik was an amazing non profit volunteer organization that I got to be a part of after my first summer out of high school. It was a 9 month program where I lived with 10 other 19-24 year olds from all across Canada. This program was so amazing as it opened my eyes to so many things, and shaped my life to make me who I am today. So much of my inspiration to this day is from things that happened in Katimavik, meaning meeting place. At one point 6 out of 12 people were vegetarian
Above and Beyond showcases dreams coming true despite realizing such amazing dreams could happen above and beyond your wildest dreams. Being open-minded to everything the world has to offer results in learning of amazing opportunities, and interesting information you never would have thought existed. Keep focusing on your dreams, they have the potential to come true in bigger and better ways then imagined.
Dreams really do come true
Various times in my life when great things happened to me, regardless of how I felt at the moment, looking back on it I realize it was a dream coming true. Never dreamed of such things as a child because I never knew dreams so great were possible.
